A member of local 165 for over 30 yrs and a shop steward for over 20 years. I have negotiated. The last 4 CBA cycles and was on a number of negotiatings.

Why change is necessary?

We joined this union to be stronger together - respect every worker . Yet too often, the leadership has become disconnected from our

daily concerns.

The moment we stop evolving, we begin to lose ground. When we don’t fight on behalf of the all the membership - we risk

falling behind.

reform campaigns in local unions show that members will choose new leadership when the status quo fails to deliver.

What we are fighting for

Leadership that listens first, acts second. Our concerns shouldn't have to fight their way to the agenda - they should be the agenda.

Transparent decision-making and the engagement of its members is the power of the union.

Equitable representation across all our sectors and worksites. We rise together, or we don't rise at all.
